I'm a new believer. Where do I start?

First, I'm so happy you're here and that you've decided to follow Jesus! I know it can be confusing and overwhelming when you first come to the faith. I have a whole page on this website devoted to helping guide you on where to start in the Bible, which Bible translation to choose, how to establish a daily routine of meeting with Jesus, and more! You can find it under "Resources" on the main menu. Navigate to that page for an in depth look at what it means to follow Jesus and how to supplement your faith with awesome resources.

What kind of resources do you have here?

Great question! I have a guided prayer journal that you can use to enrich your prayer life. I'm working on more journals that will help you connect to the Bible more deeply, to enhance the Church experience, and more! I also have a podcast that I'm working on where I (and sometimes a guest host) talk about relevant Christian topics like testimonies, mental health, miracles, etc. I have a page dedicated to free resources you can print out at home to decorate your home and incorporate into your daily life. If you're a new believer, see my answer to the question above! Finally, I have a page on prayer: why it's important to pray, how to do it, and a place to submit prayer requests.

I have an idea or suggestion for you-- what do I do?

Deeply Rooted is rooted (lol) in collaboration. I take feedback and suggestions from my Christian friends and I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions as well! You could have an idea on a topic I should talk about on the podcast or maybe there's an idea you would like made into a journal. Reach out to me! I have "contact" forms throughout this website, that's the best way to get ahold of me! I would love to hear from you!

Why is this ministry called "Deeply Rooted"?

When God first put the idea of starting a ministry in my head, I thought deeply about what has felt integral to my faith journey and how this season of my life has been. Plant imagery or metaphors were popping up everywhere for me whether it was through friends, Bible verses, or a study I was doing with my group. Plant metaphors have always been a thing for me! My first tattoo was of a mustard seed in reference to Matthew 17:20-21. When reflecting on what I wanted to do with this ministry, God gave me this vision of a tree deeply rooted beside a gentle, flowing stream. Tied to that vision was Psalm 23 as well as Jeremiah 17:7-8 and Psalm 1:1-3: God would guide me and others through gentle streams and green pastures and would walk with us in the dark valleys. He promises the bearing of fruit when deeply rooted in Him. So, with all of those metaphors and Scripture flowing through my head, the name "Deeply Rooted" emerged. It felt so right and I know God is going to do incredible things through it!
